Lake City Soccer has adopted a volunteer point system to help with determining field selection for next season. Volunteers can earn points for work they do for the club.  These points can be "given" to teams and used to earn a higher priority in choosing practice field location and schedule at the annual coaches meeting.  A few months before the Fall Season begins, coaches are emailed and asked if their team has any volunteers who have earned points.  Volunteers can give their points to the team of their choice -- even split their points among different teams.  The team volunteer points are validated by the board.  After teams that have earned volunteer points are given their choice of practice fields, the fields are allocated in descending age order -- from oldest aged teams to youngest.

Lake City Soccer Volunteer Positions

Volunteering at the club level is absolutely vital, as you'll see from the job list below.  Any club volunteers are also awarded "points" for their work, as described below.  Note: Points are awarded for last season's volunteer work. They are tallied once a year and given to the volunteer’s team of choice.
